OUR HISTORY

The history of Pinocchio begins a while ago in 1980, when Sara and Nino, after having worked for 20 years in the restaurant business, decided to write their "History of Pinocchio." From a modest countryside restaurant, thanks to the managers' professionalism, Pinocchio soon became a meeting point for the people in the Lerrone Valley, but not just for them. When in Albenga two barracks, now dismantled, were active, Pinocchio was a regular rendez-vous spot for the military and their families. Beside them Pinocchio had a selected foreign clientele, a German one in particular, always enchanted by the Italian culinary art.

In 2003 Pinocchio was completely remodelled both in its aspect and in its managerial culture. With Giando's arrival, while keeping the restaurant's original layout, some of the dishes in the menu were re-visited, combining the typical specialties of the Italian tradition with some famous international ones.

To the traditional dinners the "Art Saturdays at Pinocchio" have been added, whereby on the last Saturday of each month shows (such as Brazilian Samba, Medieval Dinners, Flamenco Dancing, etc.) and entertainment are offered in an authentic marriage of food and art.

On the event page you can find the shows programmed in the short run.
